Affluent ladies hosted to an afternoon of luxury.
Luxuria Lifestyle East Africa held another successful event themed ‘The Refined Woman, She is Mercedes’ in Nairobi, Kenya.
The event, organized by Strategic Innovative Design Solutions under its Luxuria Lifestyle East Africa franchise was sponsored by Mercedes Benz through its distributor DT Dobie and Victoria Furniture’s bespoke luxury department, The Design Gallery, attracted 100 affluent ladies. Co-sponsored by Baraka Israel and supported by Estee Lauder and Lintons Beauty, the ladies were treated to an afternoon of hearty conversation, sumptuous eats and heavenly wine.
Held at Nairobi’s newest luxury boutique hotel, The Trademark, the function attracted ladies from several countries in the region including Her Excellency Brenda Muntemba, the Zambian Ambassador and Her Excellency Annette Gunter, the German Ambassador to Kenya. The afternoon was filled with laughter and a deep conversation about East Africa’s creative and luxury market as well as the unique consumption trends in Africa. The panel engaged the guests on ideas on how we can improve the appreciation of high quality products.
The panel included Asha Mweru, an investment associate at Novastar Venures, and Sharon Kigwe of Five Senses Restaurant, Connie Aluoch, Her Excellency Brenda Muntemba and was moderated by Luxuria Lifestyle East Africa MD, Michael Mwai.
The event was headlined by showcasing of Mercedes Benz range of luxury vehicles, bespoke furniture from The Design Gallery and a wide variety of wine from Israel. Every lady had the unique opportunity to engage with Estee Lauder’s Double Wear foundation with a free makeover by Lintons Beauty.
The highlight of the afternoon was the engaging and interactive presentation by Connie Aluoch titled ‘dressing for success’. Connie who is an internationally recognized Tutor at Istituto Marangoni, at fashion stylist and personal image trainer broke down dressing for success to a captive audience of discerning ladies.
Michael Mwai said the event shall be held every year to celebrate The Refined Woman and uplift the fashion designers and creative entrepreneurs working in the premium and luxury segment in East Africa. Mr Mwai added that the organisation’s luxury business to consumer events division organises and manages high end joint events for and between the worlds finest brands, allowing them to showcase their business, share costs, entertain their own VIP clients, the press and influencers and meet new pre-qualified HNW wealthy customers.
The event ended on a high note with many guests receiving gifts for support two charities. The raffle prizes included a two tickets by Air Mauritius to the exotic Mascarene archipelago in the Republic of Mauritius. Other prices included gift bags loaded with beauty products and scents from the sponsors.
